The JLL San Diego office relocated to the Aventine, this week, after signing an 18,000-square-foot lease earlier in the year. Owned by Boston-based Rockpoint Group, the Aventine is a Class A, 220,000-square-foot office building located on an 11-acre campus at 8910 University Center Lane in San Diego, Calif.

Focusing on creating a visionary model for the office of the future and a showcase for our tenant and landlord clients, we incorporated fully ergonomic workspaces designed to accommodate each individual. Our new office also provides “quiet” zones, fresh air/outdoor patios and respite areas for differing work styles and needs. Other unique features include a movable wall/accordion door for full access to the patio; a bi-fold door in main board room to expand the front of house area for large events or meetings; and client-focused Pitch Room featuring a huge state-of-the-art touch-screen monitor; and technologically advanced wireless access from any area within the space along with best in class audio visual to ensure seamless presentations. Julie Kilpatrick of JLL’s PDS Group oversaw design and construction management of the space and partnered with general contractor Commercial Builders, Inc. and Solana Beach-based architect ID Studios.

Managing Director, Jay Alexander, went on to say “Julie was responsible for leading the design and construction teams for over a year. PDS worked hand-in-hand with both our Agency and Tenant Rep teams starting with market tours and leasing support. She succeeded in delivering a prototype of ‘traditional business meets new office’ while satisfying the desires of each and every team member. The entire team is excited to invite clients to the office to showcase and  demonstrate what JLL as a collaborative team can deliver for them. ”

Known for its landmark design, Aventine is positioned prominently along the well-travelled Interstate 5 and La Jolla Village Drive in the heart of San Diego’s Golden Triangle. Originally designed by renowned architect Michael Graves, the campus includes the 419-room Hyatt Regency La Jolla as well as numerous on-site dining amenities including Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Truluck’s, Café Japengo, The Melting Pot and Michael’s Lounge. Aventine is also conveniently located within walking distance of La Jolla Village Square, a regional retail center providing additional retail services as well as a variety of restaurants.
