JLL executive vice president Tony Russell has been named one of San Diego’s 2014 Young Influentials by the Daily Transcript. The popular recognition program highlights young entrepreneurs, successful business leaders and newsmakers who make an impact in business, a specific industry or the community in San Diego.
In his 13-year career as a San Diego broker, Tony has handled more than 6 million square feet of (primarily office) lease and sales transactions with a value exceeding $1.2 billion. He represents his clients in all phases of negotiation and real estate brokerage, including pre-leasing new construction/ground-up development, build-to-suits, repositioning assets, investment and owner-user sales.
Tony was a JLL San Diego top Producer in 2013 and both a JLL San Diego and JLL national Top Producer in 2012.
Currently Tony is putting his commercial real estate know-how to work for one of San Diego’s iconic office campuses, Sorrento Towers. Tony and his team were hired by McCarthy Cook and Prudential Real Estate Investors to develop and implement a new plan to reinvigorate the marketing of the 560,000-square foot, Class A office campus that serves as the “gateway” to San Diego’s technology hub, Sorrento Mesa.
