JLL’s third annual Global Life Sciences Cluster Report was released this week at the 2014 Bio International Convention, a global conference of the life science industry held at the San Diego Convention Center this year, June 23-26. Cities like Boston, San Francisco and San Diego are at the top of the U.S. life sciences clusters list because of access to talent and research as seen in the report. The report reveals factors shaping these clusters and the city rankings.
“The right-sizing and reshuffling of the global biopharmaceutical companies has left its mark on key U.S. cities. The strongest U.S. clusters have retained their competitive advantages, and continue to thrive as top centers of talent and innovation.” said Roger Humphrey, Executive Managing Director of JLL’s Life Sciences group.
The 2014 JLL Global Life Sciences Cluster Report analyzes top U.S. life sciences clusters, ranks the cities for their prominence in the industry and also offers an analysis of global trends in 17 countries.
